Join us as we celebrate this important occasion in our community’s history.
Doors open at 9:30am with an art show and sale highlighting local artists.
Saturday, November 18 at Mikulski Hall, 509 Schertz Parkway.
- Music / sponsor exhibits- There will be an art show and sale
- Vintage artifacts/pictures/paintings/posters
- Coins from the U.S. and Mexico from the late 1800s
- Books on American history for $5/each (donation)
- Lunch for the first 150 attendees
- See Starletta, the life-size human skeleton totally encrusted in Swarovski crystal (and her toddler “Celeste”)
In collaboration with the Schertz Historical Preservation Committee, a mini-historical symposium will be presented. The talks will discuss the various cultures that settled in the Cibolo Valley area including the indigenous people, German and Mexican settlers. We will conclude the day with “cemetery stories”.
Food Serving is limited to the first 150 Guests that RSVP--- Registration for the complimentary lunch is now closed. The event is free and open to the public.
